About Me

Meet Keith Ivey

Hi, I’m Keith Ivey—a professional hypnotherapist, an adult with ADHD, and once upon a time, an ADHD teen back when no one had a name for it, much less a clue what to do with a kid like me.

I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a hypnotist. That was never the plan. But I was always fascinated by the power of the mind—and for most of my life, I was desperate to understand my own.

From an early age, I believed I was broken. Something about me didn’t work right, and I carried that belief like a stone in my chest. Professionally, I was golden. Personally? I was a hot mess. Two divorces. A strained relationship with my son. A lifetime of pretending everything was fine.

But no one really knew what was going on inside my head. Not my wives. Not my friends. Not my clients. Not even me.

I became a master actor—not to deceive people, but to protect them. From my pain. From the shame I couldn’t explain. From the feeling that I was too much or not enough, depending on the day.

No one ever said the word ADHD to me when I was a teen. Back then, you were just lazy, unmotivated, disorganized, or rebellious. You were the problem—and no one knew how to help.

Except one person. A hypnotherapist.

  • A man and a child are riding a horse on the beach

We met at a business networking event, and out of nowhere, she wrapped her arms around me and whispered, “You need to come see me.”

I laughed it off and said I would, even though I had no intention of following through.

But a week later, at another event, she hugged me again—tighter this time—and said, “Make the damn appointment!”

So I did. Just once. Just to get her off my back. But that one session changed everything.

I can’t even tell you what happened in that hour. All I know is that I walked out of her office with something I hadn’t felt in years: hope.

Not a miracle. Just enough hope to come back the next week. And the next.

Eight weeks later, I asked her, “Do you think I could learn to do what you do?”

She said yes.

I enrolled in hypnosis school, left a career in health insurance behind, and started this practice—not because I was looking for hypnotherapy, but because I believe hypnotherapy came looking for me.

It didn’t just change my life.

It saved it.

So where does ADHD come in?

One day, a mom in my business networking group asked if I could help her 14-year-old son.

He does life with an ADHD brain.

I’d never worked with a teen like that before. But I said yes.

That brave kid showed up—and something happened.

His confidence began to shift.

His energy changed.

His mom noticed.

And so did I.

That’s when I realized:

I understand these kids. I am these kids.

I know what it feels like to be misunderstood, mislabeled, underestimated—even by the people who love you the most.

And I also know what it’s like to come out the other side.

That’s why I do this work.

Not because someone once did it for me.

But because no one did—and now I get to be the person I needed when I was a teen.

I help ADHD teens find their voice, trust their instincts, and see their brain not as a disorder, but as a superpower waiting to be activated.

It all starts with a conversation. One that won’t cost you anything but a little time. And it might be the conversation that changes everything.

You’ll find links to my calendar all over this site. Pick a time that works for you.

Or, in the words of the woman who changed my life:

"Make the damn appointment."

My Approach

I use conversational hypnotherapy—not scripts, not relaxation exercises, not hypnotic suggestions. Just a focused conversation that helps your teen discover what their subconscious already knows.

We go gently. We go deep. And we only go where your teen feels ready to go.

Sessions are held online, so your teen can join from wherever they feel most safe.

Why This Matters

Every teen deserves to know they are not broken. Every parent deserves to stop worrying and start hoping again.

That’s why we begin with a conversation—with you.

And if it feels right, your teen joins us.

They get to choose what happens next.

them to rediscover their confidence, rewrite their story, and reclaim control of their lives.

Let’s begin.

FAQ Highlights

  • How does the process begin?

We start with a free conversation over Zoom between you and me. No pressure. Just a chance to explore what’s happening and whether this might be a fit.

If it feels right, I meet your teen—also on Zoom, in a space where they feel safe.

And then… they decide what comes next.

  • Will hypnotherapy work for my teen?

It works when they feel safe, seen, and ready. I never force anything. The teen leads the pace. When they’re curious, we begin.

  • What is hypnotherapy like?

It’s a conversation—one that taps into the subconscious mind. No scripts. No pressure to “go deeper.” Just awareness, insight, and healing from within.

  • Is this therapy?

I’m a certified hypnotherapist who works with subconscious belief.

This is not a replacement for medical consultation, psychological therapy or counseling—but it is a powerful, complementary path to lasting change.

  • Do you work with people outside of teens with ADHD?

Yes. While my primary focus is on teens and young adults with ADHD, I occasionally work with adults or teens facing other challenges—like anxiety, self-esteem, confidence blocks, emotional overwhelm, weight loss and stopping toxic habit. If it’s not a medical or clinical diagnosis, and if you’re open to exploring change through conversational hypnotherapy, I’d be happy to talk.

Services Overview

I help teens and young adults with ADHD rewrite the story they’ve been told. Through conversational hypnotherapy, we explore the emotional burden of diagnosis and difference—and we gently shift the beliefs keeping them stuck.

In addition…

What to Expect

  • A private Zoom conversation with the parent
  • A calm Zoom meeting with your teen—if they choose
  • One or two sessions of subconscious work that uncover the root cause of their emotional roadblocks

Session Format

All sessions happen online, so your teen can show up from their most comfortable space.

This work is

Led by your teen.

Supported by you.

Facilitated by me—with care, depth, and respect.

Although I specialize in working with teens and young adults with ADHD, I’m open to working with anyone who is struggling with an emotional or behavioral pattern they’re ready to shift. I do not treat medical or clinical conditions—but if the problem lives in the subconscious, I may be able to help.
