I'm Keith Ivey and I'm a clinical hypnotherapist. When I was a kid, I didn't say "Someday I want to be a hypnotherapist" In fact, becoming any kind of hypnotist never entered my mind even though I was fascinated with how the mind and hypnotism worked.
From a very young age I believed that I was broken and that I needed fixing. This belief got in the way of my personal relationships but never seemed to harmed my professional relationships. In fact, professionally, I was very successful. I was a failure in all things personal but, professionally, I was golden!
On the personal side of life, no one knew what was going on inside my head. Not my wives, not my son, not my friends, not my clients. No one. That's because I was an incredible actor. I want trying to fool anyone as much as I was trying to spare them from my pain and my difficulty in explaining how I felt.
I kept everyone in the dark except one woman. She was...and still is...a hypnotherapist. One night, at a business networking event, she approached me, put her arms around me and whispered in my ear, "You need to come see me."
I knew right then that I had been busted. I told her I would knowing full well that I had no intention of seeing her.
Not long after that, we were both at another networking event and she approached me again. This time, she put her arms around me tighter and said, "Make the damn appointment!"
I figured I'd make the appointment, see her once and get her off my back.
It didn't work out that way. I can't tell you the details of what happened during that hour. All I can tell you is that I left her office with a very slight case of hopefulness - a feeling I hadn't felt in years. I continued to see her weekly for two months. Along the way, I said to her, "Do you think I could learn to do what you do?" She said she thought I could. So, I enrolled in school, quit my job selling health insurance, got certified, opened my practice and here I am.
I never intended to be here. I never went looking for hypnosis. Rather, hypnosis came looking for me. Hypnosis changed my life. Hypnosis saved my life. And now, I want to do for you what my hypnotist did for me. Check the bottom of this page to access your free guide to self-hypnosis.
VGB uses the power of hypnosis to retrain you to be satisfied with smaller portions of food. It changes how you think and feel about food and provides
predictable and safe results.
Healing from the profound emotional pain associated with very personal injuries like betrayal and lost love when you become committed to change. This program will guide you through the process of healing the hurt and moving on to the new life you desire and deserve.
Depression is word we use to describe the feeling of profound grayness. It's as if your life is being experienced in shade of gray, not in color. Depression feels like aloneness, exhaustion, and hopelessness. This program will help you to move beyond the emotion into a
more desirable emotional place.
Anxiety, like physical pain, is really your friend. Think of it as you would the check engine light on your auto dashboard. You hate to see it but you know it's there to tell you something important. The emotion we call anxiety does the same thing. It tells you that something is "out of whack". This program will help you to identify what that something is and to deal with it appropriately so that your anxiety goes quietly away.
"In just a few short sessions Keith was able to help me reframe my mindset to one of positive self-talk that was very much needed to assist me in speaking in front of larger groups.
He has an uncanny ability to help you re-associate new thinking in situations that are plagued with negative self-talk.
He helped me change my perspective in order to enable more powerful thoughts and actions in areas of my life where I've had persistent difficulties personally and professionally."
Jim S. - Corporate

IS HYPNOSIS REALLY EFFECTIVE?
Both the research and my clients say YES! If it wasn't effective, my clients wouldn't return for multiple visits. But 87% of my clients book additional sessions after they complete their initial program. And many come back every few months to examine other emotional issues which have appeared since the previous session.
WHERE DO YOU CONDUCT YOUR HYPNOSIS SESSIONS?
The majority of my sessions are conducted online using Zoom. It's private, safe and easy to access. And it's accessible from anywhere in the world where there is Internet service.
If you are located in the metro Atlanta area and prefer in-person sessions, I will come to your home or office. To you that means there will be an additional fee for my additional time and travel expense.
DO YOU WORK WITH PEOPLE ON ADDITIONAL CHANGES THEY WANT TO MAKE IN THEIR LIVES?
Yes. During your free No Risk/No Cost/No Obligation conversation, I'll discover the changes you wish to make in your life and I'll tell you if those changes are within my competency and comfort range. If they aren't, I'll give you a referral to another hypnotherapist.
IN HYPNOSIS DO I GIVE YOU CONTROL OF MY MIND?
Absolutely not! A therapeutic hypnotist cannot get you to do anything that violates your morals or ethics. Entertainment hypnotists have an "entertainment agenda" and people who volunteer to be hypnotized are exhibitionists.
A therapeutic hypnotist's agenda is set by the client. The only messages I will deliver to your subconscious mind are the messages you desire to hear.
FOR WHAT ISSUES IS THERAPEUTIC HYPNOSIS USEFUL?
Therapeutic hypnosis is all about change. What changes in your life do you desire to make? Do you want to have greater self-esteem and confidence? Do you want to have a more lean body? Do you want to become a person who used to smoke? Do you want to be more fearless? Do you want have enhanced business/professional performance results? Want to be a more confident public speaker? Do you want to be free of panic attacks and negative thought and/or behavior patterns?
In fact, there are virtually no emotional changes you wish to make for which therapeutic hypnosis would not be valuable.
